2. Oh, it's all here
It's been raining here for weeks. They had to evacuate a village in Yorkshire because they were afraid a dam might burst.

16. Yeah

...but not up around the state line, we're dying up here. We need the rain. On the plus side, still no cicadas.

Cheers

23. I haven't had many cicadas in my town, 10 miles directly west of downtown Chicago.
But if I go to River Forest, there are tons of them there. Also at my niece's in Brookfield.

I know about where you live and I am very surprised that you don't have lots of them. Weird.

Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 06:20 PM by Scooter24
where it has been raining for a week now. In fact, it's even raining now! :(

I think in the past week we've must have gotten about 12+ inches, some areas in Central TX got around 18+ inches. And rain is in the forcast for the next 6 days.

Ooops, just glanced at the TV. Now under a Flood Warning till 9pm. Great...

14. You ain't seen this glorified tinderbox
called SoCal.

So I hear ya, loud and clear.

Right now, we've got three major fires going on,
including a huge one in South Lake Tahoe.

We've been burning for months, Griffith Park,
Catalina Island, all the places we seldom have
fires.

It's heartbreaking.

Dear God, it better rain this fall/winter.

;(
