Yesterday Miz t. and I were asked to meet with some like-minded folks to try and set up a local Democratic Party committee/organization.
We're in a county that is heavily repug, in a state that is heavily repug, at least in national and state-wide elections.

We'll meet Sunday afternoon, and we'll do what we can, but it all seems so damned futile. Last night's performance by "our" elected representatives has me depressed, and I am NOT easily depressed.

I know trying to organize something like this, in a place where you are so totally outnumbered, will be an uphill battle every step of the way. I guess the best I'm hoping for initially is just to find some folks I can commiserate with.
