bookends
I've listened to the tapes or part of them, I got them free somewhere, sold them at a garage sale several years ago.
He's infectious.
If you are really interested in his techniques read anything by Bandler and Grinder
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_BandlerTony uses a dumbed down version of neurolinguistic programming.
It is a repackaged name for hypnosis that came from Bandler and Grinder. They are interesting in that they studied Milton Erickson, considered to be the guru in the modern clinical hypnosis ranks.
They basically studied how he did what he did (he was amazing in terms of helping people with his words, an artist at it.) and attempted to create a way to model his behavior as well as others behaviors in how they went about helping people.
Robbins studied a lot of authors, but his book "Unlimited Power" was very much NLP oriented.
he's making money at what he does, he is infectious in his enthusiasm and that in itself is salable, whether it is transferable to persons always, I dunno.
I'd like to go to one of his workshops where everyone walks on hot coals. I believe that if he could get me to do that and not get burned badly he would have convinced me of something, although I'm not sure what... :P
