You know, when you search the archives on DU, the topic comes up and it looks like this:

Hmm. It gives the name of the last person who modified the thread. The thread killer.

A clever person (okay, a bored person with some time on his hands) could take that data, copy it into a spreadsheet, sort it out and derive once and for all who on DU are the ultimate threadkillers.

So I searched the archives in this fashion for all threads over the last week, and had my spreadsheet kick out some numbers as to who the big threadkillers are, and how many threads they've killed this week.

Some other interesting stats I derived:

Forum searched: The DU Lounge
# of threads sampled: 1,076
# of threads killed by the author: 262 (not including 0 reply threads)
# of threads with zero replies: 76

And here it is...

Example (and I'm making these numbers up): I posted 75 messages and killed one thread for a 75:1 ratio. Robb (just an example) posted 300 messages and killed 3 threads for a 300:3 or 100:1 ratio. In this case, I killed more threads than Robb, as a percentage of posts.

Nah, not really. I just cut & pasted them into a text file. Used Word to get rid of the superfluous text and add some tabs in, and then insert it all into Xcel. From there it was pretty easy.
