One of my cats has been sneezing like crazy

I've never heard him sneeze before, and in the last two days, he's had several sneezing fits, where he'll have 6-9 explosive, loud sneezes.

Could it be something serious?

2. You should take him to a vet

Are his eyes or nose runny?
Cats usually don't sneeze that much. Hope it is only an allegry or he is getting into something dusty.

Sometimes sneezing can be a sign of an upper respiratory infection. Is he also getting some discharge from the nose and eyes?

Mine was sneezing up a storm for a day or two then just stopped.

There's probably someone here that can give you better info than me though.

4. If the cat is otherwise healthy, then wait a few days.

Chances are higher than average that it's a case of cat flu. My cats get a bout of it at least once or twice a year. It's only serious if the cat is very young, very old, or has some other underlying health concerns.

Keep him indoors and relatively warm, just like you would do for a person. If his symptoms do not develop into what looks like flu, - sluggish behaviour, runny nose, weak of appetite, etc. - consult your vet. If they do, but don't improve, consult your vet.

6. My little guy does that

He sneezes several times in a row when he comes in contact with tuna or any whole fish products.
Does he sneeze when he comes in contact with anything in particular or does he have a kitty cold.

7. My Benny did.

He turned out to have a fox tail up his nose. The vet had to take it out because it wouldn't dislodge. It also gave him an infection. I would have the vet look at him. It will cost you less in the long run.

10. He has no symptoms other than the ossasional sneezing fit.

And he was in the garage for several hours before it all started, so he may have gotten into some dust.

But he never goes outside, and neither of our cats have any contact with other animals.

11. Could be a cold, could be allergies.

One of my cats is really sensitive to scented lotions and cleaning products. If I use anything scented she sneezes terribly.

She also has a tendency to URIs. I would take him to the vet as a precaution. Can't be too careful with our precious critters!
