Toenail fungus update
Now that I have your attention, about 5 months ago I asked if anyone had advice on treating toenail fungus, because I did not want to take a toxic anti-fungal drug for 4 months (my doctor also wisely recommended against it because of the risk of liver damage, although the only alternative he offered was to live with the fungus).

I am sorry I don't remember who gave me advice, but THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

I decided to try the cheapest, simplest remedy first. I put ordinary white vinegar on my whole toenail twice a day for 4 months. The most important part is near the cuticle where new cells are formed. Here, the vinegar (which kills the fungus) can soak into the new cells, where it stays as the nail thickens. Initially, the fungus continued to spread toward the cuticle, but as the vinegar-inoculated cells advanced, they stopped the fungus, and it is gradually growing out. In a couple of months I will have trimmed off the last of it.

1. I remember that!!!
So it worked, huh? Cheap solution, too. Did you actually soak the toes or did you use a dropper or something? How much white vinegar did you run through? Inquiring minds, etc. :)

3. I didn't catch the thread....
But I had good results from tea-tree oil. A bit more expensive than vinegar, but it worked.

You really DON'T need to take a systemic fungicide for such a minor thing. But you don't need to live with it, either.

5. This stuff works too: "Reclaim AF"
over the counter at Walgreen's--For me it worked better by far than vinegar or bleach, which I also tried.
