Have been for many years.
I did an email interview with him several years ago, for an online music site that's now defunct. It eventually came out on a sampler CD put out by Archie over at Eurock - it was called "The Golden Era", I believe. His version is edited.
Klaus was reasonably gracious, nice sense of humor. He has a singularly over-inflated ego, I must say - his attitude about touring (especially in the US, where he has never played a single solo concert) bespeak a man who honestly believes his music is reserved for only the intellectually privileged few, and those few are European.
He is also a deeply bitter skeptic of the internet - in some ways, a remarkably un-modern man. Still, it was a treat to interview him.
Whatever nice things I could say about Klaus Schulze, I could NOT say about his manager Klaus Mueller. KDM is a rude, belligerent, poisonously anti-American, egotistical, condescending and self-obsessed man - when he writes about himself (which he does FAR more than the actual musician he represents), he refers to Schulze's music as "our" music. I felt like asking him, after several nasty email exchanges with him, how he could hold himself in such high esteem when his client is vitually unknown in America, the largest music market on the planet.
Anyway - Timewind, X and Dziekuje: Poland are probably my favorites, although Moondawn is very nice too.
