9. distilled water is bad for kidneys and strips minerals .
it is a chemistry thing, if'n the water ain't got no minerals in it (electrolytes) and your stomach lining does, well, them minerals will desert like GW and you'll pee them away. So watch out for distilled/demineralized water.

Also distilled water consumption causes kidney stones, and aggrevates the condition in those already with them.

27. Huh? References?
According to Your Body's Many Cries for Water by F. Batmanghelidji M.D., distilled water is the best because it's the best solvent and that's primarily what the body uses water for. If there are soluble minerals in the stomach lining aren't they biologically unavailable to begin with and therefore should be leeched out of the body? And regarding kidney stones, I would think that the condition would be improved by increased leeching in otherwise healthy kidneys.

5. Parsley. Effective, quick, and short half life.
It wears off quick too. Not too much. Check an ayurveda site for your body type (vatta, pitta, kapha) to determine dosage.

Good in combo with garlic for water retention due to fever.

Fresh, not dried. grind up in a small smoothie or eat as une salad.

16. Watermelon.
Works great. Be sure and eat banannas too--any diuretic will pull down your potassium level to some extent!

17. You should talk to a doctor...
...to determine what is causing the bloat. That can affect the treatment. Any home remedies you undertake may be the wrong thing.

24. Fast
After six or seven hours, your body will run low on glucose, and you'll "dump" fluid. If you have something better to do, you won't notice you're hungry again until about 12-15 hours after your last meal.

Don't worry about losing minerals. It's easy to replace minerals.
