7. Well actually it is more of a Beer Slurpie
This all started back in 1992 when my brother had occasion to throw a bachanalian party. The beverage fueling this party was Olde English 800 brand malt liquor in the 40 ounce bottles. With any bottles that large there are going to be beers that are not finished. The hlaf beers were put into a freezer to keep them cold. The next morning I go to the fridge for some ice and what do I see but frozen beer. But the alcohol and carbonation kept it from freezing like most liquids and it had a slush consistency.

22. Be careful
1. It tastes horrible IMHO - some parts of the beer are destroyed at low temperatures.
2. Be careful if it freezes, it will make the bottle explode. cleaning the freezer after one such incident is a nightmare.

17. Beer bottles can EXPLODE in the freezer, so be careful!
Safety first, fun last....

:-)

Seriously, although they don't actually "blow up" they will burst if left in the freezer too long, as the liquid's volume increases as it freezes into a solid.

I've lost many beers that way....

P.

19. Read some Steinbeck
In Cannery Row, Doc is told that he likes beer so much he'd probably order a beer milkshake. So of course he does.....

20. Guiness float
I've actually seen one, that was a special request at the Renaissance Festival. Lady Howard said it was good, but I decided to take her word for it.

21. Here's a Recipe for a great Beer Float!
1. Freeze V-8 juice (Tabasco optional) in an ice cube tray.
2. Blend Frozen cubes with Vodka that has been kept in the freezer until a hard slush forms
3. Add a scoop of frozen slush to a frosted mug.
4. Top off with cold beer
5. Garnish with lemon wedge
ENJOY!
