A puzzler for you English buffs |
|
I'm thinking of a six-letter word. If you add a seventh letter, its meaning becomes the opposite of what it was originally. Can you figure out what that six-letter word is?
HINT: You add the seventh letter to neither the beginning nor the end of the original word.

Adding it to the middle of the word is tricky. It's hard to even think of a good search strategy.

1. The extra letter is a consonant.
2. The original six-letter word can be extanded to eight letters. The only difference is that the eight-letter word is in the past tense.

OK, one last hint: The six-letter word starts with "P."
