4. Morphine is one of my favorite bands in the world.........
Which means that you have to be cool because you listened to it.

7. Thank you for the vote of coolness.
Several years ago I was driving home, rainy night, lonely back road and the local college station played a Morphine song. From that moment on I was hooked, completely blown away. I was fortunate enough to get to see them live in a small club in Boston and was even more blown away.

I have to agree anyone who listens to Morphine has to have at least a small measure of coolness.

14. I loved Maiden!
Or I guess it would be more accurate to say I loved them as I have not listened to them in years. I first got into the Bruce Dickenson stuff but later on I can to really like the first couple of albums with Paul DiAnno.

20. Shins - Chutes Too Narrow
I like them almost as much as Fountains Of Wayne. Chutes Too Narrow caused me to update my 2003 best-of list.

Before that, Angels With Dirty Faces by The Sugababes - very good pop album. And before that, Avril Lavigne - Let Go (I don't care if I can't relate to the lyrics of these young female rock stars - I enjoy the sound and can appreciate the lyrics for what they are,) and Eurythmics - Greatest Hits.

26. The Dropkick Murphy's....
That band is borderline facist... I saw them play right a few months after 9-11 and they were in full "Kick ass for Amurica!" mode. I was kind of disgusted, but not real suprised. They have always been skinheads... while pro-labor, they also believe in being super-patriots.

Oh, last two albums...

Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X
Modernlifeiswar - My Love, My Way

29. oh I was going to ask what they were like
I was thinking about going to see them... but wasn't sure. Aren't they union supporters, etc? OH yeah, you said that. I didn't know they were skinheads... it that a function of them or their audience? American- Irish working skinheads? It is hard for me to make the distinction since I don't go out to shows much anymore. All I know is that I liked a lot of the songs. Are they punk, hardcore ( as we used to call it) or what? Not really sure what the distinctions are. Punk used to cover a lot more turf when I was going out to shows and playing music.

WHAT a missed opportunity.

I've pissed off many a conservative with my shirt from the God Fodder tour:

Front: "Did you miss Ned's Atomic Dustbin?"
Back: "Then you fucked up!"
