There's too many people in general who have "attitudes" about members of their attractive sex, women and men alike.

If a woman likes me, and makes the effort to get to know me, that's a lot sexier than any kind of "appearance" she makes.

Between the "you-go-girl" attitude of female-centric dating advice, and the "how-to-score-with-chicks" attitude of the Manly Men's advice, it's a wonder that anyone gets married anymore.

And when you're miserable enough, you'll give Match-dot-com $250 a year to scan thousands of ads that stipulate their Prince or Princess' financial requirements and body statistics. Period.

I expect human extinction to occur by 2200 at the latest.

8. Don't know. I have several that "want" me

I am married and don't try to attract men. There are a few men at work though that are attracted to me. I wear a uniform like everyone else that isn't exactly flattering so it isn't that. Maybe, I was better off when my male best friend was there and there was a nasty rumor going around. The other guys stayed away. Perhaps, I should speak to my boss about that because some of their comments are making me uncomfortable and I think that they are completely serious. I don't want to be mean because I like some of them on a more friendly level.
These are not men who I would date if I didn't have my husband though. I don't think that most women have trouble attracting a man. The trouble is attracting a desirable man. I am glad that I have my man and don't have to deal with that.
Talking to men and getting to know them in general probably is the best way to land a date with a desirable man. Getting to know them also is a good prescreening tool before a "loser" becomes obsessed with you.

I didn't; was totally happy being single, and doing my own thing--I was never married, and never wanted to be--

I am going to be 40 soon, and even gave up buying the attractive clothes when I was in my late twenties (bought my first pair of heels in over a decade about a week ago..not sure if I can walk in them yet..God, I hope so, otherwise I blew thirty bucks that could have been used for a new pair of birkenstocks :) )

I just pulled the options directly from an article on my ISPs portal and was curious as to how DUers responses would stack up against their suggestions. I'm certainly glad to see that no one suggested "working it" as a viable option.

I am married, but generally I find an element of sleazy types who do blatantly hit on me regardless. They just don't realize it would take someone way above and beyond sleazy (or even ordinary) to capture my attention. Despite our issues in the past few years, even my spouse is most definately above and beyond the average moron that's out there.
