4. That looks devine!
I bookmarked that page and am definitely going to make it very soon. Please tell me how yours comes out!

Unfortunately, we are having drive-through food tonight b/c we have an appointment to look at a house we are thinking about renting. We won't have time for real food tonight. :(
Tomorrow I'm making roasted chicken with vegetables, though!

Read her stuff all the time. Haven't actually tried a recipe yet, though I have several of them bookmarked, including the lasagna. :)

I have no idea what we're eating tonight. Maybe we'll eat out tonight.

14. Well, the truth is, we've been staying up waaaaay too late
I'm normally an early riser, too. It's weird/nice to get up so late, but those are the benefits of NOT having a strict schedule right now.

School starts for the kids on the 29th, so we've gotta start changing our evil ways or it's gonna be hell. :scared:

It's all about The Routine, once school starts. :D

PS. We're hooked on Top Chef, too! Esp MrShine, who is a whiz in the kitchen. I've gotta get caught up on the last few tivo'd episodes...I'm a bit behind. Great show!

25. I cheat and buy and envelope sauce mix
the only thing is that the instructions call for quite a bit of sugar and I don't like it that sweet, so I cut the sugar in half.

Someday I'll be brave and try to make a sauce on my own.

46. Yeah, I know. That's pretty much how I feel about it, too.

Gotta keep my girlish figure, though.

Hey, Owen Wilson almost ran over me yesterday (doing my evening walk on Hollywood Blvd., and he started to take a right turn while I had the "walk" light). I'm kind of over him, otherwise I'd think it was funny. Was NOT funny last night.

44. MOST. DETAILED. RECIPE. PRESENTATION. EVER!
If nothing else, you've got to love the 100+ photos she included to make sure you don't miss a thing in the preparation! Woe to those with a dial-up connection...

I'll have to take a more thorough look at her site later when I'm home, just to see the other recipes as I couldn't possibly screw anything up when she lays it out as well as this. I'm not a vegetarian, but this primavera dish looks beautiful!

I'm just grilling a bacon-wrapped sirloin along with sliced eggplant - the eggplant is fantastic when it's grilled, if you've never tried it before!

We're not veggies either, I just like to take a break from it here and there...Plus, the heavy whipping cream makes up for it :P

Yeah, it was a bit of a pain to write out the recipe from that page, but I managed.

Have a great dinner! :hi:

52. chicken breast, leftover and a salad
the chicken breast was dipped in a dijon mustard and orange juice mixture, then rolled in
crushed wheat thins which were seasoned with minced shallots, orange zest and baked. It was lovely fresh from the oven and quite good cold on a salad.

I am having some milk and cookies in a few minutes
