The final episode of M*A*S*H was on....I finally saw it. THe holy grail.

Ever since I was 13 I stayed up late a night watching old M*A*S*H re-runs. I became hooked on the show, but still Ihad never seen the final episode...last night I got home completely wiped from work turned on the tub and there it was.....the final episode of Mash, I missed the first 20 minutes. But saw the rest....wow, I feel complete now.

It was very sad to me too. Overall I thought it was a decent episode. I love that show!

1. when i was 13
i read the book, was traveling with my family to NM to visit my sister and her new baby. The whole trip is a lasting memory for me, and that book was part of it.

did you catch the 'toast' at the end of the last episode?

2. I thought this was going to be about sex.
I don't know if you're aware, but some of the seasons of M*A*S*H are on DVD now. I don't know if all of them are out yet.

3. I remember when it aired; earlier that day I tore cartilage in my knee...
while skiing at Big Boulder in the Poconos.

Luckily I didn't drive myself, and my friends took me home & had to carry me into my house-- just in time for the last episode of M*A*S*H. My knee was swollen and hurt like h*ll.

Maybe it was the pain, but I was disappointed at the time by the sadness of the episode. Looking back on the episode, I recognize it as an accurate depiction of the array of emotions felt in such a circumstance.

I was a devotee of the series, but haven't seen an episode in years.

5. My favorite episode...
was the one from the point of view from the soldier who was there after being wounded somehow. It was the nicest episode. They made him laugh, got his mind off of what was going on with him. It was a GREAT episode.
