Poll question: How Many Keys Are On Your "Everyday" Keyring?

Do you have keys on your keyring that you've TOTALLY FORGOTTEN what they go to? Do you have keys on your keyring from your last apartment, and your last car, and your last job? Does your keyring make you look like you're a school janitor or a prison guard?

ALSO: What is your keyring decoration? A tourist souvenir? A photograph? A troll doll? A flashlight? Spray-mace? A "koosh" ball?

1. Car, kept separate from the other keys, just in case.
2. Apartment front door.
3. Apartment mail box.
4. Office door.
Of course there are assorted other things on there like gym passes, and other savings cards, but only 4 keys.

2. I've got a 1oz spray mace on my everyday keyring...

Truck, truck gas cap, house, parent's house, in-laws' lake house, security box. Also nail clippers, small knife, and discount cards from OfficeMax, Petco and Kroger.

4. I've got a piece of an SR-71

On my keyring I've got a little titanium-alloy washer from the Blackbird wreck I found in the desert.

I'm sure I've told the story that when I fly, I take comfort in the fact that the washer in my pocket has already been in a crash, and the odds of the same washer plummeting from the sky twice have got to be astronomical. ;)

5. I've scaled down recently

house, car, 2 for work, and my bike lock. also the remote opener for my car and 2 obnoxious "savings cards" (Petco and Blockbuster)

6. I have 2 everyday keyrings.

A snapon keyring; breaks into two parts. There are a large number of keys that go to things I can't identify. I moved, unwillingly, 3 years ago. At the time, I left all the old keys on the key rings...house, garage, gate, mailbox, etc., and added the new keys. Even though I never went back, the keys are still there. I'd take them off, but I know my mom gave me keys to her house, and I don't know which are the keys to her house and which are the old keys I no longer need. So there they all are. Along with the keys I really use:

In the first bunch of keys: house key; security screen door key; front gate key; back gate key; garage key; mailbox key.

In the 2nd bunch of keys: gate key for work; classroom key, office key, restroom key, playground whistle.

The next time I get to my mom's, I should test all those keys and get rid of the "expired" keys! She's 900 miles away.

on my primary key ring: house key & car key. And no, I don't hook it to my belt.

No fancy-dancy thing to decorate the key ring. Just a ring.

Two on my work key ring: desk key & security fob.

remote lock for car, and a dog-tag/stencil that says "DAD".
Crossbar on the "A" broke off years ago.
My daughter gave it to me about 20 years ago and it's a treasured keepsake.
All mounted on your standard, geezer, beltloop-clip.

has a ring of keys that would strangle an adult pelican.
I have no idea what they go to and I don't think she does either. She NEVER gets rid of a key.
I'll bet the front door key to the house we sold in Crystal Lake back in 1974 is still on there.

My decor is a little swiss army knife. The kind with a tooth pick, tweezers, and scissors. I have my keys seperated by one of those gismos that allows you to start the car, realize you've forgotten something, and go back and unlock the house door. :)

19. I have 5 keys on my keyring...

Two car keys, My room, my house in Kingfisher, and the valet key for my car, which I keep saying I'm going to leave in my room "just in case." My key rings are simple. A cute little blue and green dragonfly, a SWOSU leather ID holder where I keep my IDs and my money, and a Lanyarn (I think that's what it's called) with happy bunny on it saying "You suck and that's sad."
