This one is NOT a Star Trek post!
Who thinks "Doctor Who" should come back on the air; either as repeats of the old episodes, uncut, or the creation of a new series?

2. YES!
New series is reportedly in the works (isn't it always). I desperately need some real scifi plots on the airwaves again. Exploration of ideas. Real scifi, not space opera.

6. OMG!!!!!!!! And they're not Tom Baker episodes!!!!!
They're some of the 1st Doctor episodes, I thought nobody would air them again!

Man, KTCA and KTCI suck (the two PBS stations in Mpls/St Paul area...). A pity, I now have the means to record things directly to my computer and onto DVD from a NTSC signal. No more archiving my VHS tapes, which are of lower quality than what's being transmitted. :pout:

5. New Dr.!
....But who would you cast as the good Doctor?
(I'd vote for John Billingsley (AKA Dr. Phlox from Enterprise))

BTW, Dr. Who is the source for a good many of my favourite quotes.

e.g. :

"The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering. "

from the episode "Face of Evil"

Remind you of anyone? ;)
