Star Trek related thought I just had

While watching the episode "Attached".

I think it would have been very funny to have Beverly Crusher, in one episode, call Capt. Picard only by the name "Curt". Not captain, not Curt Picard, just Curt. And over-use the name, too, like salesmen do.

"Oh sure, Curt, yeah, let me get right on that."

"Oh yeah. Good thinkinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng............Curt."

"Go ahead, Curt - Crusher here."

when the thought flew into my mind; I thought about that possibility as I was writing the post.

Not sure if it's that, or that the word "Curt" itself is so quick to say and starts and end with rather "curt" letters (C and T), and so is kind of funny in this situation.
