Man Rescues Cat - Cat Saves Man In Fire
<snip>

HUDSON, N.H. -- A man who rescued a stray cat from the cold got the favor returned on Sunday when the cat woke him as his house filled with smoke.

Rioux, 76, who lives alone, fell asleep watching television, but was jolted awake when the cat, named Munchkin, jumped up and landed on his chest with all fours.

Rioux was able to get up in time to call the fire department and evacuate safely.

Rioux put the cat in the garage and in the confusion, Munchkin bolted. Rioux and his family are asking for help finding the black-and-white cat.

1. Why do I picture
the cat going away on a desert road, cowboy movie music and the words "The End" floating in the air?

3. Muchkin clearly decided
his debt was repaid, and he didn't owe Rioux jack.

"I'm outta here, meow."

4. Nahhh
Munchkin just decided to clear out over the excitement. Cats don't like loud noises and action. Munchkin will be back!

5. There have been documented accounts of pet "angels"
They come, save your life, usually after you save theirs, and then they just disappear. Don't you ever watch Miracle Pets?
