Help! Looking for a game like Samorost, found once, now lost.
I did a trial download of a game a few days ago that looked and played like Samorost. The same kind of graphics, the same kind of mechanical contraption puzzles. Then, about 24 hours later, I accidentally uninstalled the trial. The bitch of it is, now I can't get the game out of my head and would like to buy it, but I can't remember the name of the damn thing!

I've gone to Samorost's creator's web site, and it isn't his game. I've tried searching under every conceivable combo of "trial/download/flash/game/online" that I can think of on five different search engines and have come up with nothing. I'm posting here in the hopes that someone knows the game I'm talking about and can help.

Anyone? *fingers crossed*

3. hmm - your cookie file maybe?
ask in the computer group they may know more about how to "find it" even with a deleted history.

4. No cookies.
I deleted the game I'm looking for when I was on one of my infrequent desktop/internet cleaning spree. That's what kills me, that I hardly ever actual maintain my computer, and then when I do, I realize I threw out the baby with the bathwater!
:dunce:

7. I never saw either of those sites before, but
they have some cool-looking games. Thanks for the links!

I've checked all the game sites I normally go to, but it's not on any of them. I thought it was a Shockwave game, actually, but it's not on their site.

I wish I could remember the name of the damn game! :banghead:

11. No, but that's another cool game.

Unfortunately, it's not any one of the other six "Samorost-like" games linked on the Blue Tea site, either.

Honestly, I'm beginning to believe I dreamed the whole thing. Except that that would mean I dreamed of a Samorost-like game before I even knew Samorost existed--I found Samorost on Monday, looking for that other game I deleted. Now THAT would be pretty freaky!

13. Here's the game I was looking for:
Haluz http://www.haluz.eu/

It was designed as a tribute to Samorost, so if you like that game, you'll probably like Haluz. :hi:
