Why do they call them eggrolls?
There's no egg in 'em.

Gotta run.

2. .
An egg roll is made by wrapping a combination of
chopped vegetables (often mostly cabbage), meat,
and sometimes noodles, in a sheet of dough,
dipping the dough in egg or an egg wash,
then deep frying it. It can be closed or open ended.

I've made eggrolls before. No egg.

Edit: Hmm, maybe the key word is "traditional".

6. Yep. Traditional is the key word. For it to be an "egg" roll, it needs an egg dip.
If you aren't dipping it in egg, you're making a spring roll, not an egg roll.
