2. was she also paid for her appearance, in addition to winning her suit? |
|
and were the defendants paid, too? I see something to that effect at the very end of the People's Court (with that cutie judge marilyn milian, cuban hottie). I've wondered what folks are paid to be on there.

4. it says something like |
|
both parties have been paid from a fund for their appearance on the People's Court. Any judgement awarded will first be deducted from this payment (or something like that).

5. so now I think maybe the court pays any judgements that are awarded |
|
or at least that's what someone sez in the people's court forum. That kind of makes sense. they have to give folks SOMETHING for their entertainment value. otherwise----why on earth take your dumb case to tv when you could do it in a real courtroom? there has to be some incentive, which usually means $$$$

6. I was interviewed on the People's Court |

We were walking through Times Square and asked to be in the audience.
We stood outside and watched the procedings on a monitor and then that creepy guy with too much makeup stuck a microphone in front of us and asked us who we thought should win.
It was a case about a gay couple and one of them burned a hole in the rug with an iron. THe cost for replacing the rug was thousands of dollars. I seem to remember the cost was totally unrealistic. I don't even recall now what the outcome was.
I'm a tad embarrassed to admit this to anyone! :D

7. I don't know how big your "etc." is... |
|
...but Mrs. Robb was on The Price is Right a couple years ago.
Won a frighteningly high-tech sewing machine. And some Phillips FiberCaps. :)

9. they offer to pay your settlement if you lose, and give you a nice sum of |
|
money for your time if you win.
It's a win/win, even if you end up looking dopey.
