Jolie angered by Aniston's 'sneaky' behavior
Angelina Jolie has accused Jennifer Aniston of embarking on a "sneaky" relationship with Brad Pitt's mother.

The 'Tomb Raider' star is reportedly furious Pitt's mother, Jane, has invited his ex-wife Aniston, who has been estranged from her own mother, actress Nancy Dow, for nine years, to spend the Thanksgiving holiday at her home in Missouri.

And Jolie has even threatened to disown Jane if she continues her friendship with Aniston.

Tiffany Law, a pal of the 'Friends' star, tells Britain's Star Magazine, "Jen sees no reason to stop (contact with Jane). They speak on the phone at least once a month and exchange cards and e-mails. But, apparently, it makes Ange's skin crawl.

Seriously, Angelina needs to get over herself. We are all supposed to applaude her because she adopts children from 3rd world countries...just a show on her part anyway since she's probably never home and has nannies to take care of them. She can't even act and she isn't so beautiful. Talk about insecure, why does Brad put up with her?

1. "just a show on her part anyway since she's probably never home ..."
"Probably." Right. So, basically, you're making assumptions about something when you have no idea of the facts.

I'm not usually one to race to the defense of prima donnas, but the reason Jolie's kids are always in news and photos with her is because she takes them everywhere -- even when she goes on trips to third world countries, even when she goes to, say, her spartan home in Cambodia, where she has spent literally millions of her own money to create a nature preserve in an area plagued by poachers, while also, with the help of financial backers, completely reinventing the economy of the northwestern region of that country.

She's also spent vast amounts on projects in Kenya. Unlike, say, Madonna (hell, unlike most celebrities), who tried to just sweep in and grab a kid, Jolie has actually walked the walk while talking the talk.

And if you don't think she's hot, you're blind. :P

2. I agree with you. I like and admire Angelina Jolie and I think this story is bogus.

3. I have to agree with you
It's very rare to see a picture without Angelina or Brad toting at least one or two of the kids along with them - or the whole family when possible.

Angelina has done the work and deserves the praise.

HOWEVER....

It's a known fact that Jennifer Aniston has never had a close relationship with her mother so it's not suprising that she had become close with Brad's mom (Brad was pretty much born & raised in a normal family somewhere in the St. Louis area). If they are close then deal with it instead of taking it to the press.

5. I completely agree with you, the question is...
Edited on Tue Nov-13-07 11:35 AM by SteppingRazor
who brought it to the press? The story kind of makes Jolie look bad, so I'm guessing it was someone else.

And, there really is another side to this. If I found out an ex-boyfriend (much less an ex-husband!) of my fiancee was still in a close relationship with my future mother-in-law, and that no one had told me, I might be a little perturbed too.

8. Not as preturbed as finding out she was pregnant before the divorce was
final. She does lots of great things, but personally she seems disturbed to me.

11. Well, yes there is that.
;)

Look, I'm not gonna say Jolie's a saint by any means, especially in her private, personal life. But I will certainly defend her public works. She's done a lot more good with her celebrity than most people who have gained the spotlight.

17. Oh now, I don't see it that way at all
On my mother's 75th birthday, I had all my exes send her emails! :-)

Life's too short, people. If I break up with a man, but he still wants to stay in touch with my family, it is their business.

30. I think the point is
if two women disagree, one of them has to be a completely comtemptible bitch. You know, the wicked witch of the west and Glenda...or Cinderella and her wicked stepsisters...or Snow White and the Queen. They can't both be just human, one of them has to be %100 pure, unadulterated evil.

4. I think Angelina Jolie is feeling the same feelings many of us would feel...
under the same circumstances.

So you are with a man, but his ex keeps appearing and seems to be making friends with your mother-in-law. In fact, she's going to be at Thanksgiving dinner! How would that not unnerve anyone???

Oh but Angelina Jolie is a beautiful celebrity, so she's not permitted real emotions. I forgot.

6. Well she did a couple of sneaky things her own self.
She married Billy Bob while he was engaged to Laura Dern. And then Brad Pitt. I am not saying she was the only blame. Obviously it takes two, but I am just sayin' I see a pattern!

with her mother-in-law?

31. ohmygod!
don't remind me of that. I love Laura Dern, and I remember when that happened. I hold BillyBob (wtf kind of name is that anyway) %100 responsible for that, not Angelina. I remember reading an article about Dern right after it happened, and she said, "yeah, I went on vacation and while I was gone my boyfriend got married." Unreal. Didn't they meet on the set of "Pushing Tin"? Angelina did a great job in that movie but I thought Thornton's character was completely bogus. I need to watch that movie again.

33. Yeah, that was it. BillyBob for sure was responsible, but Angelina
could've let him end things with Dern before marrying him. Dern is better off now anyway with Ben Harper I believe it is.

24. Actually, this isn't the first time this has been brought up.
A few months ago Angie was upset with the mother-in-law maintaining relationships with Jen. Angie might feel that Brad will dump her and get back with Jen. I could care less about her humanitarian work...loads of people do that day in and day out with no recognition, Angie just wants stars in her crown. Furthermore, if the mother-in-law wants Jen as her friend Ange should just keep her yap shut.

not as hands on as she does. And so many charity donations these stars make are for tax writeoffs anyway. I don't think Jolie publicizes her charitable work as much as the media follows her every move. Because they have a vested interest in making sure uninvolved people care whether her husbands ex-wife sees his mother.

20. angelina jolie is evil. and we know this because she does humanitarian work and adopts kids.
evil i tell ya.

it may ofcourse have something to do with her openness about her sexuality and her lack of apology. women never get away with that.

19. Big deal--that happens in lots of families/ex-relationships
Happens in my family all the time--DH always jokes that my side of the family is more interested in maintaining relationship with our relatives' exes than our relatives! It only becomes an issue when somebody dies and then everybody starts arguing over ranking in the obit. :eyes:
