3. Pros and cons
Pros:

One learns where not to sit.

One learns that sometimes, in this world, things live and can hurt us.

Cons:

One learns that sometimes, in this world, things live and can hurt us.

One learns that cactus are free spirits, and will refuse to be tamed.

5. What? Why would this get locked?
Anyway, I don't know of any pros.

I never know when to water them, and they never seem happy with the amount of light they're getting.

I think they may hate me.

6. If you are a good cactus mommy/daddy and have a house with good light
they are really cool plants.

If not, you will see your giant barrel cactus IMPLODE within weeks due to disease. :(

7. They aren't very huggable.
I live in the desert and have cactus in my front yard and several in containers on the back patio.
Don't overwater them but do remember that they still need a drink now and then. They don't need any trimming and no leaves fall off so I guess that's a plus. But watch out for the needles. Some cactus have very fine needles that you won't even see when they get in your skin but they hurt like hell. Stay with cactus that have larger needles for container plants.

10. Low maintenance, your cats won't try (twice) to eat them
and they don't expand into Giagantic bushes like some other plants. If you like the look of them, and you have a lot of sunlight, then they're a good option. :)
