3. this is what drove me over the edge
Freeper_002

The Palestinians are lucky that the retaliation isn't worse!

What would happen if a group of Mexicans marched into San Antonio and opened fire on a bunch of civilians in a mall? Then after the incident some radical Mexican group claimed responsibility for the attach because they were claiming Texas back. Because they think it was rightfully theirs. You know what would happen.

Another question. Why are people so quick to defend terrists? These palestinians that are bombing innocent Isrealies for whatever reason are terrorists. And don't give me the "they're oppresses nonsense".

Should Isreal take a lesson from the other Arab countries in dealing with the palestinians? Maybe Isreal should do what Jordan did.

Ahh here it came..

Yes im sure they are just terrorists and blowing themselves up for the heck of it..

Btw you forgot the "Palestine was never a country"

Your arguments are so pisspoor ill leave this thread aswell, if I thought for a minute you had any capability to see things from a different point of view I'd write a big answer, but since it would be for nothing ..

meh

2. You were brave.
You gave it the good fight.

I checked it out, but I knew it was going to turn into what all sites like that do, unfortunately.

I'd really like to debate intelligently with others on the other side, but I don't think there can be a forum for that unless it is heavily moderated by unbiased moderators. I don't think that's possible.

7. There was a site, years ago.
It was called Intellectual Capital. Great articles across the spectrum, and great, intelligent debate. Then it got bought out by some bigger org and went down the tubes. That's the only place I've ever seen a true forum of discussion of views across the spectrum actually work.

But, since it's been done once, I've still got hope.

18. I guess I'll have to be satisfied
with debating with some of the more centrist people here at DU. :)

5. It's difficult there right now.
It's clear that the current crew of RWers doesn't read much, so they can't put up any real debate. I tried to pull 'em into it, but they just don't know how to go there.

Anyone who knows some informed conservatives should send them there. Maybe we can create a real debate forum for once.

8. If it's anything like Freeper-world
They kick informed conservatives off the boards. I can't stand to go to those places because I develop a case of sudden-onset projectile vomiting. You are indeed a brave soul!

11. It's brand new. I don't think they're of the FR mindset, at least for now.
If we can spend time there, and increase the level of debate, well, it wouldn't hurt.

17. More ways to convince...
Sorry, I'm not a frequent poster. But this thread is a good example of why a group of us put together an e-card website to get people using their brains and their votes this election. Sometimes visual stuff can be as convincing as debate (or moreso)...

It's a good opportunity for me to get this out there.

We'd love to get as many (or all!) DUers visiting and using the site as we can. Send an e-card to your friends/relatives/enemies to get them using their brains and their votes. And if you think it's worthwhile, please pass it on. We'd love to hear from any visitors either way:

9. If it's any consolation
If it's any consolation, you're one of my favorite posters on DU to read when you get your dander up (at least here on DU, I don't visit too many other political boards).

I'm guess I'm kinda lucky that I have have some close friends who are intelligent, witty, funny *and* republicans and we have a blast on poker nights.

Imagine, two republicans who are athiests, one socialist deist and me, a Presbyterian Democrat (who will wind up hell accoring to Falwell I leanred this morning)all playing poker while still maintaining civility (except for the time Alan had three four-of-a-kinds in
a row-- but that another post altogether). Ahhh... the stories I could tell you :)
