So I broke up with my girlfriend
I feel like I just kicked a puppy. I mean it had to be done because I wasn't happy, but the look on her face when I did it was so sad.

2. Sorry to hear about that
Hey, if it's meant to be you WILL be together again. If not--well, that's the way it goes. In the meantime, it's tough, I know.

13. I am going through a similar situation
The person that doesn't want me thinks that I talk too much.

15. ironically enough
I broke up with her because she couldn't converse...and was a republican, but that's besides the point.

16. That is Ironic
It hurts when someone tells you that you talk too much...he was a Democrat that didn't like to talk at all.

6. way better than taking the easy way out
which involves staying with someone coz it's too hard/painful and/or complicated to leave.

10. It had to be done...
you weren't happy. It would've been worse for you to stay in the relationship than to break up.

It happens. I've been dumped. I have dumped women before. Circle of dating, my friend.

11. Letting go is the hardest part
Sometimes people are only in a relationship for convince because they are too lazy to look for someone else. I like to talk and the person that doesn't want me anymore does not like to talk so I have to make a decision about ending it.

I feel for you.

14. Jeez...
I feel for you. I would rather be dumped than be the one doing the breaking up. Its a crummy feeling to know you have hurt someone. Hang in there though. Look at it this way. If you had waited, the hurt would have been alot worse. You did the right thing-as opposed to stringing it along.

The right thing is seldom the fun or easy thing to do, but important to do anyway, especially where the feelings of others are concerned.
You will feel better after some time passes. Time heals.
