I need some convincing
I'm having trouble justifying putting up a tree or decorating and all this year. Lelapin will be at her father's and the whole exercise seems pointless. :(

3. I live alone and I don't decorate
My mom decorates enough for the whole family. Her Santa pictures stay on the walls year 'round.

4. What, you're not good enough?
Put on some Christmas music or some of the stuff that makes you sing along, invite over friends if you like, and decorate the tree. Lighting it each night will remind you to think of the things that cheer you, like your lovely daughter, her nice boyfriend, et cetera, et cetera.

Try it.:hi:

a.) I'm going to do it anyway because I'll be there about 80% of the time, and b.) for your party! It'll look amazing and people will enjoy it. Also, it's Twelve Days of Christmas, and all that. :D :P

Do whatever makes you happy...

But remember, with the party on the 29th, you might want to decorate a little for that...

But please yourself...

That's the important thing!

20. whatever makes you happy. I like putting up some decorations once a yr
they remind me of family and friends, and I get to remember when I got them, past x-mases, etc. It can be difficult if alone, but still, I like to do a little tree. Whatever makes you happy is what to do.

22. get a rosemary tree
and maybe a wreath or two -- http://www.gardeners.com/Rosemary-Tree/default/StandardCatalog.Houseplants_Cat.35-542.cpd

find a few egg nog drink recipes, or other stuff you like that might sound good, and look here for some ornaments: http://shop.theanimalrescuesite.com/store/category.do?categoryId=2637&link=Store_TRS_LeftNav_2637&siteId=221

and enjoy the holiday! I have decorated, and not decorated, and of the two I have found that I prefer having a few holiday things out, and the very act of doing the decorating jollied me out of a scrooge mood (esp. if the decorations smell good, like a rosemary tree, or if the purchase was 'meaningful' like maybe buying from the rainforest site...)
