1. I talked to one of my sisters last night. She lives in Springfield, OR,
and she said that they had had a wind storm going on all day, with gusts over 100 mph.

3. How are things in Seattle?
I'm headed up there in a couple of weeks. Last year, my cousin got her power back the day before I got there. :scared:

5. Timing couldn't be any fucking worse
I have to drive into Seattle for the Van Halen concert. I-5 is a mess in weather like this, between the Californians who can't drive in the rain, and the trucks spewing shit off their mudflaps. Missing the concert is not an option - waited 23 years for this, and paid too damn much for the ticket to waste it. Should have known the sunny weather last week was a guarantee this shit would happen :(

9. It is predicted that we will break our "most rain in 24 hours" record
which is currently 5 inches (I believe) :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

It's twice as bad this time of year with the trees dropping their leaves and clogging the storm drains. I hope all the school buses make their routes ok.

11. Crappy on the eastern side of the mountains too.
I'm just over the pass on the east side. Lots and lots of snow over the weekend. Turned to rain sometime last night. It's a sodden, heavy, slushy mess out there right now.

12. 12.6" in Bremerton over the past 48 hours.
We've had over 4 today in Seattle--the landslides and road closures are starting up.

Yecch.

13. It's pretty windy here on the East Coast, too...
It's a good night to stay indoors, drink hot chocolate, and cuddle with kitties. Hope it's better for you soon! :toast:
