1. I don't mind the snow
what I mind is all the people who didn't grow up around here, coming up here for school or whatever, and they don't know how to drive in it.

2. I think people should take snow driving tests before they are allowed to move
into areas where there is snow.

We don't want those bad drivers up north!

7. A half an inch of snow shuts things down in MD!
It took a foot in CT before they started shutting things down.

And the drivers down here have no clue as to how to drive when it's snowing.

19. You must have been in Connecticut a LONG time ago! Nowadays, they panic at
the first half-inch as well. I think it's because of all the gloom & doom that the local TV channel weather people spout.

16. Well, it was really cold here last night, and sleeting buckets, and windy, and that
kind of weather makes my shoulder and knees hurt, and it was unpleasant to go out onto the screen porch to smoke a cig, and we get WAY TOO MUCH of that kind of cold, wet weather around here, you know it's not a DRY cold like they get in northern New England, it's that WET cold that is even more unpleasant than, say, 20 degrees with low humidity, no, we get a LOT of those days of 34 degrees and rain and/or sleet, and the sleet is even worse to drive on that snow, because, you know, snow packs right down when you drive on it and it's predictable, but that sleet, boy, when that stuff starts building up, it's very slippery because, as you might (or might not) know, it's wetter than snow, so it's kind of like ice in some ways, and furthermore it tens to build up on your windshield wipers, and you have to stop every now and again to clear off the buildup, and boy does it stick in your car's wheel wells, making those ice dams that you have to kick loose with your foot, and on top of that, when it's sleety weather, you usually get a thick coat of ice on your car windows which you have to scrape off unless you warm your car up for like 25 minutes with the defroster blasting, and with $3.00 per gallon gasoline, who can afford to do THAT, and, boy, do we get a LOT of that kind of weather around here every single winter, without fail, year after year, and it's no kind of fun at all.

:P

And I'll bitch about the fucking snow and the fucking ice in my coat pockets and the ice on my car and the tree branches falling down and the idiot drivers in SUV's with four wheel drive that can't drive worth shit skidding all over the roads because they drive to fast on the fucking ice covered streets because they have FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, don't you know? , so get out of their way! They're special! And I'll bitch about the people whom have lived in snow country forever but when they hear the word 'snow', they clog all the grocery stores for tons of food, as if the fucking snow storm will never end and they're afraid of starving to death and they have to park where it says Fire Lane because they might melt walking to the fucking car with their tons of food that they just have to have to survive the storm!! :grr:

29. I DON'T like snow, and I live in Central Texas. Why do I bitch?
Because when visiting my lovely SO in Central Washington, the goddamned snow up THERE caused Snoqualmie Pass to be all fucked up, causing me to miss my flight. So, I had to get a hotel room ($), miss a day of work (so much for my lovely vacation schedule), and pay for another day of storing my car ($), not to mention the additional meals ($).

So, fuck you snow!

Yeah, I know the risks, but my honey is too damn wonderful for me not to visit all the time.
