I really feel for you and I know how you mourn your kitty. I think it's good that you're letting people know how you feel. When my cat died at 18, I kept it all in because I thought it would seem silly to let people know how sad I was. I think my mourning period was longer because of it. Hang in there, Jon. My thoughts are with you.

My wife and I have a family of five cats that we have had since the four kids were born ten years ago. They are our family and I can't conceive of loosing them.

But it does offer a bit of closure, I felt. I picked up Chester's ashes about 10 days ago. Last night we started working on a memory book, which has been helpful as well.

People keep saying that "he lives forever in your memories," but I'm sure you're like me and just want him back! :cry:
