Catholic coloring book warns US kids of pedophile priests. Guess it's better than pop-up!
Tue Dec 4, 1:36 PM ET

NEW YORK (AFP) - New York's Roman Catholic Church is trying a novel approach to alert children to the danger of being sexually assaulted by a priest, with an abuse-themed coloring book, officials said Tuesday.

"Being Friends, Being Safe, Being Catholic," was distributed earlier this year to several hundred schools in the New York area as part of the church's Safe Environment Program, a spokeswoman from the city's Archdiocese said.

One image in the book features a guardian angel hovering over an altar boy with a priest lurking in the background.

"For safety's sake, a child and an adult shouldn't be alone in a closed room together," the angel counsels. In another, the angel warns of a sexual predator attempting to chat with a child over the Internet.

1. Well the other alternative is removing Father Touchy McFeelpants
But the Catholic church won't do that.

Does it warn children about Popes who help archbishops move to Rome to avoid accountability?

5. now, now, Cardinal Law got "promoted"

i invented a poker game during the peak of the Boston scandal called, "Cardinal Law."

it's a version of Cross - 10s are wild to represent the 10 year statue of limitations for diddler priests to get off scott free; and if a red king is picked from the common cards, that player must turn over the "sensitive documents" to the court - meaning that player has to choose one of his hole cards and turn it over as a common card regardless of whether you fold or not (hey, once made public those documents are public).

6. My devoutly Catholic parents told my brothers and me to
kick any priest in the balls who got "weird or tried to touch you" , run like hell and tell them immediately. My mother also warned us about a couple of nuns she knew from college who ended up teaching us in grammar school. This was from 1962-1971. By the way the nuns who taught me were far worse than any of the priests.
