5. Barely
Listerine $5.00 per half liter at @27% alcohol = $37 per liter of pure alcohol.

Smirnoff 100 proof $7.50 per .375 liter @50% alcohol = $40 per liter of pure alcohol.

8. As a cocktail mixer
for "Green Hornets"!

Listerene and Aqua Velva.

I worked with a guy who would show up after 3 pm coffee break half in the bag, smelling good with minty fresh breath. He was not very bright. Pickled brain and all. And died young too.

The obit described him as "colorful".

9. Did you watch "Intervention" this weekend?
One woman was an alcoholic...she'd go around the house chugging bottles of king-sized generic mouthwash. I had to change the channel to keep from gagging.

So, in answer to your question, yeah.

10. You ask "Truly?"
Which suggests that it is considered a cheap alternative to booze? You are wondering if that 'established' thinking is really true.

I kinna disagree with the premise there.

I mean who thinks that? 15 year olds?

11. Uhhmm, dunno 'bout the mouthwash
but, when I was in High School,
I worked in a store where Isopropyl
rubbing alcohol sold for 3 bottles
for a dollar. We had an old man who
would buy it to drink when his money
was too tight to drink drinking alcohol.
I actually saw him drink it.
