Watching the documentary about Fred Phelps on Showtime right now.

They're arguing that those who support LGBT rights are more likely to give a pass to child molesters since we're enablers to sin.

Most bitterest of ironies being that one of the pastors arguing for LGBT rights was Pastor Jeff Gannon. Shit you not.

Yet I'm watching these under 10 year-old Phelps kids picketing and comfortably using the word "fags" without knowing what it means upon their subsequent interview, and I have to wonder if this is a form of abuse.

How do we save these children?

Children don't know how to hate. I mean, it's not instilled when they're born. They're taught to hate.

I've seen the Phelps clan protesting. And I've seen the kids with their "God Hates Fags" signs. And it's so sad to see.
