Poll question: In honor of OhioSmith's admitted perversion: Manual or automatic?

:P OhioSmith openly admitted yesterday that he's turned on by women who drive cars with manual transmissions. :) So----in honor of that perversion, what kind of car do you drive if you drive and/or own a car?

I drive a five-speed. :evilgrin: I've driven a manual-transmission car ever since I bought my first car in 1986. I like the control of a five-speed, and manual transmissions kick automatic butt. :rofl: :hi:

I LOVE driving a manual. I think the driver has a lot more control.

IOW, I still shift myself, only clutchless. Next car will probably be another manual.

...all he does is blow out transmissions. :rofl: I've never seen anything like it. They've been married four years, and he's had three new transmissions put in his car. :shrug: Mom won't let him drive her car for obvious reasons....:rofl:

23. Sounds like he's powershifting.

Tiptronic style autos have a manual mode, as opposed to shifting an automatic 1 to 2 to D to OD. Powershifting is very rough on the tranny.

Sorry, I'm going to have to say that if you want to be macho in your Wrangler, you MUST get the manual transmission.

Also, if you get the hard top and full doors, you might as well get an FJ.

20. manual transmission....

Only had 1 car with an auto, but it was such a good transmission (with tiptronic) it didn't really bother me. When I went back down to 140 hp (from 205) with my current car, I wanted to maintain complete control over the available power and torque.

I'm not against autos- they're damn good now, getting virtually the same gas mileage as a manual.
