Meat as verbs.

In this thread, I'm gonna beef about how some people use meat as verbs. They say, you chicken out. You ham it up. You rabbit from a dangerous situation.

I rib you not; I never sausage use of food names that can be altered into verbs. I don't intend to carp about it endlessly--and I don't mean to grouse--but I thought this was the right time to breast this topic rather than continuing to duck the question--why is meat so verbable?

Okay, I've had my say; I'll clam up. But if you want to mussel in on this thread I welcome your input. I veal listen to whatever you have to say. After all, if we weren't free to speak freely as Americans, wouldn't we be royally porked?
