I survived my surgery!
In at 7am, out at 930am, and slept off the pain killer until 4pm...

Dr. told my wife (If he told me, I was too dopey to remember) that my 'Mallory Weiss' tears are completely healed; and my esophagus has been 'stretched' (widened) at the bottom to prevent a second occurance.

I was so doped up, I'm not clear on how I got home from the hospital... my wife says I hiccupped the whole way.

13. Congratulations -- no surgery is without risk; glad you're OK,
and I trust that whatever caused this has also been taken care of or is about to be.

Again, congratulations on coming thru this well.

17. What are the effects of the surgery?
Are there things you shouldn't eat? Will your voice be different? Did they remove your evil second Rosie Greer head?

21. Effects of the surgery...
I should get less heartburn.
I should have less chance of tearing my esophagus up again.
And how did you find out about my second head?

22. No need.
No real changes done, it seems. Just a little stretching and stay home for a day...
I did have ice cream though...
yum, ice cream...:loveya:
As a side effect, I did have a problem with...:hurts:
Mainly do to the medicine I'm taking... actually, it's not painful, it's inconvenient... the 'runs' will do nasty things to your clothing if you aren't careful.
