1. I would be too... as a caged wild animal.
:(

Poor thing.

2. How do you assume that
why do you assume that this is a caged wild animal. Could just as easily be one that is wild and free.

5. The wood on each side of his face looks like a fence to me.

I looked at the pic for a minute and that was my perception and that you
have a Texan map as a logo. :P Did you take the picture locally? It's a
nice picture but he looks sad to me. I wasn't trying to insult you and if
you did take the pic, it's a great shot. Peace!

6. I didn't take offense
I just wondered what you saw that I didn't. I didn't take the picture.

I have no basis for this, but I thought of the liitle guy sittin on a pier (sittin on the dock of the bay) and looking down over the edge and through slats of the pier.

It's interesting to get different interpretations of what a picture might be saying.

But as for taking offense - nah, we're good. :toast:

8. But monkeys can climb
Well, like monkeys. A simple wooden fence wouldn't keep them confined. I assumed some other cause for his woebegone expression.

10. Yeah but there are electric fences and besides...
it looked like it was high up and he has his hand up by his face and that looks like he's
reaching out, IMHO and if he could climb the 'fence' (trained not to?) then he wouldn't
use that gesture and and his eyes look like he's asking "Why?" or "Free me!"

3. Did you take that?
Great expression in this emotional portrait. Wonderful pic! You really do feel for the little guy.

4. His eyes
are so expressive. But after looking at them for a while, they began to look like pitted olives. (just an observation)
