5. I used to update law books

They were in binders, and when they passed a new law, the law book co sends pages and says "remove pages 772-859 and insert new section pages 772a-859a" boring, boring, boring. But they had a lot of blank pages to separate the chunks of new pages. I collected a lot of them, and eventually put them in a binder and gave it as a gift. It was well appreciated.

7. I used to do the same thing

at the American Bankers Association in DC.

We'd get new regs, or more accurately revisions of regs, and you'd have to replace certain pages with the new pages.

And half the time, the "revision," if you bothered to read it, was just replacement of an "a" in one sentence with a "the".

It amazed me that I got paid for participating in killing trees. :grr:
