5. If you hit "Mark" while you're in a forum
it basically freezes it the way it was then -- when you come back later and re-load the page, the threads that have been updated since you Marked are highlighted! And the "new" responses within the thread are also highlighted. It's sweet!!!

Permalink... yeah, can't help you there. :shrug:

If you want to bookmark a thread for later reference, the "permalink" is a static link that won't change. The address in the browser as you peruse a thread is dynamic, so if you bookmark it, you'll end up with a broken link later on. That's my understanding, anyway. I always use the permalink when I'm referencing another thread in a post.
