I got this card from the big boss at work, the top guy at the store, the other day. This is on top of the personal spoken kudos I've received from other execs, and the trust and respect I get from most of my younger co-workers, including my trainees.

It made me feel pretty darn good.

"Thanks for taking on the huge challenge of training so many of our newer people for us this holiday season! We have consistently heard how great the training was and we can see it in the results! Way to go!"

Congrats. I would feel good too. You deserve to be proud of it. If you ever decide to look for another position it is a good thing to put in the resume

On top of it, one of the supervisors who was training at our store before moving to one of his own took me aside yesterday and asked for my input on training techniques and what I thought worked the best.

5. Nice...at least your place of employment is better than the last software company I worked at...

...where the members of our project team got a similar letter, thanking us for our work above and beyond the call of duty in getting a vital product out the door in time...and then got laid-off two weeks later.
