I didn't tell a lot of you about my cardio stress test scheduled for this morning. Though, a lot of you felt "the wrath" of my multiple anxiety attacks leading up to it! lol (Actually, they weren't that funny).

Anyway, I didn't want to worry the whole Lounge, but the doctor I'd gone to for my blood pressure did an E.K.G. in his office and thought it showed one of my arteries was blocked. So, he made me go to another doctor.

After a very long three week wait, I got into the heart specialist and did the stress test and eccocardiogram (sp?).

Report: All normal! *whew*

Ya know... I think I'm finished with doctors for awhile. ;-)

Yes, I actually broke down and asked for something for my panic attacks. And, guess what? He wouldn't give me anything leading up to the tests. Well, I decided that's what alcohol was for! lol And... we know how well that works out! ;-)

you get the drift (LOL)

and when I feel an attack coming on
I take it.... kinda calms you as soon as you swallow it...


I only take 1/2 a pill though

13. Great news! I'm glad you're OK.

I've had my share of odd heart anomalies. I had a cardiologist tell me I could have a heart attack at any moment and I needed an angiogram back in 2003. It showed nothing. It turned out he'd misread the echo stress and that I was anemic.



What a waste of energy and money but at least I found out the ticker is in great shape as well. :bounce:

Didn't you feel a little guilty for being pissed off... after they misread it?

I'm not sure I should ever go to that one doctor again. I loved the Cardiologist...but the one (before him) who said my artery was blocked? I want to call him up and just chew him up and spit him out!! But, I know doctors are human too. *sigh*

15. I was so relieved that I wasn't going to need a new heart or something

that I just let it go, but yes it scared the sh*t out of me. I work in the industry so I know how it goes, hopefully he learned something from my case though.

It's OK to be pissed off, after all whatever amount of time passed between the time they told you that your arteries were a mess, and the final results is gone, wasted in fear and tears.

Hang in there and just know we care and we're all glad you're in good shape. :hug:

As the heart doctor was saying, "Blood flow normal, arteries normal, nothing out of the ordinary...." it was like an out-of-body experience. I had braced myself for the worst. I was sure he was going to have them take me straight into surgery that hour! lol I have to laugh now. On the other hand... how often will I allow myself to be terrified by these doctors? It was no more than 5 months ago that my OBGYN scared me into believing I might have cancer!

Anyway, I'm rambling now. Think I really should finally have a second cup of coffee now... no matter how late in the evening!! :hi:
