TVs Mission impossible: Mr. Briggs or Mr. Phelps

Which one do you prefer as the IM Force Team leader:

Mr. Briggs (played by Steven Hill) the first couple of seasons or
Mr. Phelps (played by Peter Graves the rest of the way)


I prefer Mr. Phelps simply because I don't remember that many episodes in the first couple of years (too long ago). Graves did a first rate job in the series.

Peter Graves was great. I recall he was very pissed when the "MI" movie came out and the writer made his character (he wasn't in the film) into a double agent.

That movie was crap.
