Got him home last night...he was totally sedated when we picked him up. By the time we got home, he was wide awake and constantly licking and picking at the surgery site, so we called the vet, and they told us to get the reverse lampshade collar, b/c he might break it open and then require more surgery to fix it up.
So Sniffa ran out to get the collar and pellet litter, and once we got it on, he went insane and ran around like a maniac trying to get it off. He eventually got used to it, we took it off for dinner and washing and litterbox last night, put it back on for bed, and he slept most of the night, with us for part of it.
In the morning, I took it off, let him eat breakfast, bathe himself, and use the box. Then back on for when I went to school from 8-4. Got home, collar off for lunch and more washing, collar back on. Later on, collar off for water, then off again just now for a big dinner and bath, Sniffa's watching him at the moment. Probably only a day more of the collar, he's healing quickly.
All in all, not too bad, but I can't wait for him to be all better! x(
And, thank you SO much for asking!!! :loveya:
