Question about "No Country For Old Men" (Total Spoiler Alert! Do Not Read if you haven't seen it!)
Hi, I've just watched it today...what a dark ride. An amazing piece of cinema. How wonderful that the Coens just keep getting better...

But...

I'm not entirely clear on it.

-The Mexicans killed his wife's mother, right?
-He was the one hiding in the dark in the police scene hotel room at the end, having betrayed his wife to her death, and taking the money?
-Not one person looked to see who was in the car that hit Chigurh...

The ending was a bit pasted on. That's the same as the book? I'll have to watch it again as it has so much to offer.

But what a dark ride. Man that was bleak...

1. Spoilers in response
He was killed by the Mexicans, Chigurh took the money for himself, and the accident was just a random accident.

The story was actually a look at how the world has changed through the eyes of the sheriff, and the ending should be taken as such. It's really his story and the other characters just kind of go in and out of his world.

2. Thank you. Spoilers in response.
I couldn't tell from the quick shot of the dead man in the hotel room, if it were Moss or not, or if the Sheriff had found a(nother) dead Mexican mobster and used it as an excuse to pretend that Moss were dead, told his wife that, in order to give him a free ticket out of the situation.

Thanks!
