I wrote this one years ago, so consider this one as from the archives of history:

When an eel swims up close and he bites off your nose
That’s a Moray
When a great big long fish removes toes with a swish
That’s a Moray
Just watch out, there’s no time to shout, if you see his snout,
Fast, get out, stupid fella
Believe me, if you do not flee, he’ll bite off your knee
Leaving just the patella!

If you see one swim by, warn the others and cry,
“That’s a Moray!”
When you get back to shore, and your toes number four,
It’s too late.
You wish you had listened, and taken precautions before, eh?
Scusami, if you see a large eel near Capri
That’s a Moray!

If you’re wading ashore and your foot is no more,
That’s a Moray.
If you feel your foot’s tip disappear with a rip,
That’s a Moray
It could be such an injury, a calamity, you will need some repairing
It’s insane, it is very plain, you’re in so much pain, which you will not be sharing

If it looks very mean, and it swims long and green,
That’s a Moray
Had you kept to the sand, got a drink, got a tan,
Sun above,
You’d be dry and who knows? You might have all your toes like before, eh?
Scusami, go tell the insurance company
That’s a Moray!
