The basic rule of thumb is this--Mostly grass? yard.
Mostly vegetables? vegetable garden.
Mostly flowers? flower garden.

Some real sickos grow flowers and vegetables together and just call 'em gardens. But the repugs are working toward a Constitutional amendment to stop that kind of perversion.

And then there's the tricky business of knowing the difference twixt a "flower bed" and a "flower garden".
