your opinion please - my cheesy artwork
I am writing a bunch of papers over the holidays for a graduate history cass. I was ill and got real behind and my professor gave me an extension on the work.

They are book reviews/historigraphical pieces. One isa review of a book on Aaron Burr.

We get lots of andouts from the Nework Review of Books, etc. with caricatures of the subjects. So I am going to include, in the section of my paper which touches upon "the matter of that duel" the two caricatures below.

Please tell me what you think. Be gentle.

and you gots to have a cool perfessor who appreciates the creative process. LOL

Seriously, though, Part of the paper includes reference to book reviews and things that have these type of caricatures.

I just did a teaching presentation for this professo in which I lectured as Abraham Liocoln complete with stove pipe hat, beard, frock coat, etc. He has encouraged me to make a gig of it.

7. It looks like you ran out of space with the top one
In real life, hands and weapons are much larger than that. Unless you were going for that, or don't care.

You asked for crit, you got it.

Also, delete the speck that in the top picture

10. Thanks for your comments
They are caricatures and are styalized a great deal. Also, and you can't get this from this post, unfortunately, they are (particularly the first one) meant to mimic the style of some of those drawn in some of the reviews in the New York Review of Books. Here is an example of one of James Madison from that publication:

I thought about making the weapon larger, I went from a picture I found on line of the Burr/Hamilton dueling pistols.

I appreciate your help.

11. Definitely like the top one...
Has a nice "old newspaper" caricature style to it. Very nice.

Bottom one looks a little too amateurish in execution. It'll hurt you, in that regard. You could do without it, it diminishes the top one.

This graphic artist is very impressed. Good job!
