Nor'easter that isn't? or just getting here later than predicted
according to the local weather report last evening - the storm was suppose to start around 7pm on Saturday. By 9pm still nothing.

the forcast called for it to start out as sleet, change over to snow, then back to a sleet/freezing rain/slushy mix.

when I took the dogs out this morning it was sleeting, maybe a litle over an inch of stuff on the ground. suppose to get 6", but forcast says it will be over by 11am - so if we do get 6" it will need to snow an inch an hour...

I live about 15 miles northwest of Wilkes-Barre

1. You might have gotten lucky
I'm from southwest Ohio and we got dumped on pretty good yesterday. About 4 or 5 inches of snow I'd say. Then strangely it warmed up up and the precipitation turned to rain which has melted most of the snow. It's now 35 degrees here, but they are still predictng more snow.

2. I think I'll call it a "No Easter"
Kept watching the local forecast on the Weather Channel's website yesterday and they kept backing off from the original "massive winter storm" that had folks in a bit of a panic around here.

Friday it was starting Sat. and "significant" accumulation, by Fri. night it was "1-2 inches" and by midnight it was "flurries". By Sat. morning it was "scattered flurries".

Looking outside this morning, it's less than one inch on the ground.

Southwestern NH. High winds, no visibility and lots of snow. It started here at about 2 a.m.

6. It sure looks like a Nor'easter here, too.

In Manchester right now, there are three cats looking out the windows, more depressed than I've ever seen them. I'm cleaning litter boxes on the hour (they usually go outside). All we need now is some freezing rain to lose our electricity. And people LAUGHED when I bought the crank-up radio/flashlight!

11. Well it's been circling us for 2 days
I'm in SW Ohio and it just keeps coming back. Right now it "appears" to have let up. Earlier the wind tried to blow me across the driveway due to the ice.

12. so far about 5 inches total
2 inches of snow ontop of 3 inches of heavy packed sleetly stuff. Kid down the road is going to the major plowing of our driveway on his quad. Hopefully he can do it as our driveway is "uphill"

we just got done doing the walk, and shoveling areas around the cars. Cleared out enough room at top of driveway so if the kid can make it up the driveway then there's enough room to plow the snow downhill.

snowing like crazy again. but weathermap is showing clearing in our area, and rest of storm heading north of us.

13. Snow, then sleet, then freezing rain, and now just rain.
Soaking into the snow on the ground to turn it into nice chunks of concrete by morning.
