Remember Roy Batty breaks two of Deckard's fingers near the end of the film; this is just bullshit spouted by Ridley Scott.

We are meant to understand that Deckard is haunted by the possibility that he might be a Replicant.

In the scene before the "great unveiling", I saw him pick up a glass and took one look at his hands and said, oh how trite. The guy had meat hooks on him. Man hands. I knew then and there that this was going to be the worst gotcha moment in film history.

Never ever show the hands.

Then in II, Rocky wins ...

In IV, Apollo loses, and dies, and so Rocky goes to the USSR, he wins, and then single handedly ends the Cold War.

In V .... well, I didn't see that one ... I think the audience dies, and no one wins.

94. I like Juzo Itami's films, such as Tampopo and Supermarket Woman, as well
as Kurosawa's "modern" films (well, 50 years old or more now), such as Stray Dog and High and Low. Of his samurai films, Seven Samurai is the most famous, but I also like Throne of Blood.

I'm told that I should see Nobody Knows, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

102. Yes, it's okay, notable mostly for the appearance of Richard Gere as a
half-Japanese.

Other than that, it kind of rambles, a common feature of Japanese films.

My favorite anime (realistic ones--I don't like the "killer space robots" genre) are "Grave of the Fireflies" (two orphans trying to survive during World War II) and "Tokyo Godfathers" (three homeless people find an abandoned baby).

92. Apocalypse Now
The finale involves juxtaposed scenes of a ceremonial slaughtering of a water buffalo,
while Willard kills Kurtz with a machete. Dying on the ground, Kurtz whispers
"The horror... the horror," (a quote taken directly from Conrad's novella).
Willard walks through the now-silent crowd of natives, all of whom know he has
killed their "god" and who begin to kneel before him as Kurtz's replacement.
However, he finds Johnson, who has since joined the natives, and boards the PBR.
As they float away Kurtz's final words "The Horror, the horror" echo and the screen
fades to black.

Alex tells her to let him go, but she doesn't listen.

A fight ensues, wherein Alex gets pinned to the floor with a massive knife, and David gets killed.

Juliet takes the suitcase and goes to the airport to take her flight to Rio, but she opens the suitcase and there's no money in it, just newspapers. She gets on the plane to Rio penniless.

Then the scene cuts to Alex, pinned to the floor, and he starts to laugh. The camera drops beneath the floorboards, and we see that the money is hidden under the floor. :)
