So I replied...I beg to differ...SOMEONE on your accound did. And it has been submitted to [e-mail] by more than one person. If it was in fact not you, I'd report that your account was hacked.

FYI, I've been told that there is software out there that can 'fake' the originating email address. But if it's legit, the admin at AWOL, I mean, AOL will be able to track it.

Plenty of anon remail sites out there too. But as this one does seem to link up to an individual it is more likely it was them or someone on their computer. Anon remailers usually dump you into a blank addie.

I have found someone posting with an Email addie of [e-mail] and they seem consistantly antibush and antirepuke. They may be targeted as well. They certainly do not fit a homophobe profile. Find out more about this individual before you start flaming away. They may be as much a victim as you are.

I did some searching on the net. His address shows up in some forums and he seems very antibush and even refs Buzzflash and other left wing sources as positive research sites. I found nothing homophobic associated with his name.

And she does not live in VA. She drove all the right-wing nuts crazy on WP Forum. We were posters there all through the 2000 Campaign and after the selection. She is a die hard Democrat and a liberal. She HATES bush, his father, and the entire right wing cabal with a passion.

We also correspond privately. She's being targeted by some wing-nut. I've written to her tonight and she has reported this situation to AOL.

The hacker may have assumed male and signed the name Paul. Refs I found in other forums suggest the name Pat. Gender neutral so I assumed male. Madmax knows her first hand so go with his assesment.

23. The problem might be *your* mail server.

Some mail servers don't attempt to backward check the validity of the sending server, or user.

If you have a mail server like that, I can forge an email and make it look like it came from [e-mail]

I know nothing about your mail server, just thought I'd throw that out as a possibility you may want to check into as well if you hadn't already.
