An Atkins question
I'm not going on the diet, but I see it advertised quite a bit.

I've seen commercials for places like Subway and they advertise some of the sandwiches as being "Atkins Friendly." The Atkins logo is displayed.

I've also seen commercials for food that is called "Atkins Approved," and again the Atkins logo is displayed.

So, what's the difference in a food being "friendly" and one that is "approved"?

1. I suspect the difference is that the company displaying the
Atkins logo has submitted their ingredients to the Atkins corp for testing. Once those ingredients pass the Atkins test for carb content and such, they probably have to pay a fee to have the logo displayed.

IMHO, they mean the same thing except one has the Atkins corporate stamp of approval and thus may win market share.
